Qualification and Experience

  • Higher level or specialized education.
  • +5 years’ experience in area of Warehouse or Material management.
  • Preferred work experience with multi culture & in foreign company.
  • Excellent knowledge of English, Arabic languages.

 

Duty and Responsibility

The Logistic Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring all logistics services are provided to COMPANY including, without limitation, the following:

  • The arrangement of berthing facilities and liaison and coordination for the berthing of supply vessels for COMPANY.
  • The planning of incoming and outgoing vessel traffic to ensure COMPANY supply vessel have first priority access to dock and quayside areas and to ensure non-dedicated adjacent berthing areas are available on an “as needed” basis.

The Logistic Supervisor could supervise and coordinate berthing and unberthing of supply vessel, the loading/unloading of vessels and other inland base traffic, arranging the necessary stevedoring, pilot, pilot boats, mooring gang where necessary; monitoring third party supplier materials and supplies to vessels under charter by COMPANY; arranging for boat charges, ships dues, wharfage fees, light dues, stevedoring charges, and other ships services including ship’s agency as may be requested by COMPANY.

The Logistic Supervisor will be in charge of making arrangements for having material, supplies and equipment delivered to other wharfs or airport, received and transported to the appropriate location including, without limitation performing the necessary administrative functions, paperwork and other details to accomplish such transfers, ensure quayside space is made available for bulk silo facilities managed by third party mud/dry bulk suppliers, providing trucking to transfer COMPANY’s or COMPANY’s third party supplier drilling tools, equipment, or consumable materials, supervise any needed customs clearance and freight forwarding services.

The Logistics Supervisor shall be responsible for the following duties:

  • Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Verifying inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigating discrepancies or adjusting errors.
  • Storing items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Marking steck items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Determining proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Keeping records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Examining and inspecung stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to SUpervisors.
  • Providing assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
  • Preparing and maintaining records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
  • Conferring with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability.
  • Performing such other duties as may be requested or be necessary for the performance of the service hereunder
